The mission of the Central Coast VINE symposium is:
To provide Central Coast wine grape growers, vineyard managers, consultants and PCAs with information about production practices that optimize yields, improve quality, decrease production costs and keep them abreast of new technology and techniques.
To be a forum for the members of the wine grape industry to work together to improve the overall viability of the Central Coast wine producing region.

The VINE Symposium was developed by Lowell Zelinski, Ph.D. and Becky Zelinski – owners of Paso Robles viticulture production company, Precision Ag Consulting. Lowell Zelinski has a doctorate in soil-plant-water relations, and is a former University of California extension agent and CSU professor with more than 30 years experience in agriculture research, education and consulting. Becky Zelinski has a background in marketing and event planning.
Part of the Zelinskis’ mission for Precision Ag is to provide grower education. To that end, they have successfully developed and hosted production meetings, workshops and field days around the Central Coast. The Zelinskis developed VINE in 2010 because they believed there was a need for a viticulture production meeting to address topics unique to the Central Coast and to provide a local forum for growers and the industry to come together to learn from one another and address these issues.
The 2012 VINE Symposium will be held in the Country Real Estate Pavilion at the Paso Robles Event Center in Paso Robles, California. Paso Robles is located in the heart of the Central Coast wine grape production area and the Paso Robles Event Center is conveniently located off of Highways 101 and 46 East.
